1. Monitor job progress: job cost (budget vs. actual), including man-days, material, percent of job completed. Communicate with job foreman, Estimator and Director of Operations regarding these areas. Work with VP of HR to provide timely information to Sales/Estimating related to job cost as job progresses.
2. Ensure that project is kept supplied with materials as job progresses. Place orders for same, as needed. Ensure that purchases subsequent to the “buyout” are made at or below the budgeted prices.
3. Work with Foreman to compare delivery of materials at job site against shipping ticket & purchase order. Inform Director of Operations and Estimator of any discrepancy.
4. Communicate daily with Director of Operations and Service re: project progress, problems, etc.
5. Review daily foremen’s reports; follow up with Director of Operations or others as needed.
6. Communicate periodically with Customer when visiting jobs. Report any customer issues to foreman and Director of Operations.
7. Responsible for providing information needed for billing as job progresses.
8. Change orders: responsible for putting change orders in writing, getting customer sign-offs, presenting them to Director of Operations/Accounting Manager and verifying that bills are sent. Work with Sales to ensure that any modifications of roof drawings or blueprints are completed where necessary (“as-builts”).
